NorthWestern Energy is planning a series of community meetings in Montana the week of February 14 to share information about its multi-year Distribution System Infrastructure Project (DSIP) that kicks off in 2011.

The station, capable of generating 150 megawatts to balance 2,000 miles of Montana transmission, began operation shortly after midnight Jan. 1.

The project is to be built on a portion of Invenergy’s proposed 200 megawatt Big Otter Wind Energy Project site near Belt, Montana.
