NorthWestern Energy invites the public to attend a meeting regarding the company’s local area electric transmission system planning process and how we plan to meet our Montana customers’ needs.

You’d think an opportunity to find specific things you can do around home to lower your electric bill would be a no-brainer.

NorthWestern Energy is extending the deadline for customers in the midtown area of Helena, Mont., to participate in the company’s regional Smart Grid Demonstration Project.

As load on the grid fluctuates, it then re-applies that power back onto the system — essentially recycling energy that would otherwise be lost.

In an effort to help Montana residents become more energy efficient this winter, NorthWestern Energy is inviting qualifying natural gas customers to attend a Weatherization Event in their area.

NorthWestern is offering 100 grants valued at $750/each to qualified applicants within the service territory to help measure the economic impact of existing businesses and local development projects.

Thomas E. McNab, director of the Community Design Center in the Montana State University School of Architecture, was a recent winner of Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance’s 2011 BetterBricks Awards for energy champions in Montana.
