"Management 463 offers tremendous benefits to both students and clients," explained Gary Bishop, adjunct instructor of management in the College of Business and director of student research services at the Jake Jabs Center for Entrepreneurship for the New West.

The seminars kick off in Kalispell on Aug. 2. Other presentations follow that same week in Billings, Bozeman, Great Falls, Helena, Butte and Missoula.

"The students show a variety of Montana businesses – some established and some just getting started," said Ray Ekness, faculty adviser and UM professor. "We’re glad we can show the wide range of companies who are making products in Montana."

For a little more than two weeks in August, Foster and 19 other American women will be presented with the opportunity to learn firsthand about the challenges women in Southeast Asia face daily, as part of a cultural exchange hosted by University of Montana’s Maureen and Mike Mansfield Center.

"New educational opportunities like this are key to Montana jobs for the future. Montana students have a world class work ethic and this unique opportunity will help them launch our economy to a new level," said Baucus. "This is an exciting opportunity for our state to remain on the cutting edge of the technology."

Montana Field Notes focuses on the diverse landscapes, ecology, history and culture of Big Sky Country and the important work being done by the University of Montana statewide.

During the four-month courses, students will help manage special consulting projects requested by area businesses and non-profit organizations.

On Monday, May 21, 2012, CenturyLink, through its Internet Basics Program, surprised Washington Elementary School with a new Computer Mobile Lab, consisting of 20 MacBook Pro Computers, and a $3,849.40 check for upgrades to the schools existing computers.
