Our club is paying a select few of our most outstanding members to work for businesses in Missoula.

On September 19, Department of Labor Secretary Hilda Solis announced $500 million in grants to create and expand innovative partnerships between community colleges and businesses to train workers with the skills employers need.

Train them, and the movie cameras will come.

Students will be assigned to a company that is producing products within the ‘high tech’ industry – this can include new
products from established firms, web technologies, etc.

In the past several years, the class has worked with ZooMontana, the City of Billings, North Park Children’s Center, Soaps by Rusty B and Billings Educational Academy.

From the very beginning, I have known that, in order for Graduation Matters Montana to be successful, entire communities will need to work together to get the job done. The economic future of our state depends on a quality public-education system. As Montana citizens, we must get involved in supporting the students who will lead our state successfully into the future.
