Forty years after a group of Bob Marshall Wilderness packers sat around a campfire and formed the Back Country Horsemen of the Flathead, the national organization it created is returning to Montana for its annual convention.

You’re likely finding more of your friends and colleagues using Instagram, but you might not have explored another corner of the photo sharing app: non-profits looking to expand their social reach.

The grants will benefit local nonprofits and enhance the Missoula community.

The film, which chronicles three individuals and their own experiences with food insecurity also features insights from expert nutritionists, sociologists, and celebrity advocates Jeff Bridges and Tom Colicchio.

Instead of equating frugality with morality, he asks us to start rewarding charities for their big goals and big accomplishments (even if that comes with big expenses). In this bold talk, he says: Let’s change the way we think about changing the world.

Bike Walk Montana, a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit formed last August, does walking and cycling related advocacy work and provides resources and information to community leaders and community members across the state.
