We are writing to ask your support for establishing a Community College in Ravalli County for the Bitterroot Valley.

“We are fortunate to have world-class faculty throughout the Montana University System,” said Kevin McRae, the university system director of human resources and labor relations. “The regents professorship recognizes only a few of them, the best of the best.”

The courses are designed to help elementary, secondary and community college teachers develop a deeper understanding of science concepts while interacting with and learning new techniques from other teachers around the globe. Some are open to non-teaching professionals.

Though the current state of the economy could mean less funding from Montana’s legislature next year, President George Dennison hopes its members will realize it’s important to continue investing in higher education with the state’s future in mind.

First Lady Nancy Schweitzer encourages Montanans to submit nominations for the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching. This award honors exemplary K-12 mathematics and science teachers for their contributions to improving teaching and learning.

CASANS efforts will be concentrated primarily in three niche areas: green technology, composite materials and actuators/sensors.

Industrial technology teacher Mark Yaeger said it was a long and arduous process — one that he wasn’t expecting — to get a permit from the city to build the 60-foot tower.

The Graduate Business Student Association (GBSA) is currently collecting food for the Missoula Food Bank through November 18th.

UM President George Dennison said, “The resources provided by the U.S. Air Force will move the research forward so that the lab can assist in assuring the most effective performance under appropriate benchmarks and with proper diet and conditioning. We believe this is very significant work for the benefit of people we ask to go in harm’s way.”
