Pioneer School is moving forward with Phase II and III and would welcome any additional support from the business community.

The universities join more than 1,000 other institutions with which IBM has created partnerships in order to boost the number of students able to grapple with the floods of data currently redefining how things are done in business, science, and other fields.

"Our school nurses serve a pivotal role in providing health services for rural schools, as well as the promotion of health education," Hinz said. "They are always looking at creative ways to meet the unique health care needs of our schools."

"That’s what we are here to do: We respond to the business community’s needs," Missoula College Dean Barry Good said. "In the past, nationally speaking, programs tended to be set up at schools because the educators thought they knew what business needed. But we recognize that business knows what business needs, and we are here to respond as quickly as possible to those needs."

"Here in Great Falls we have half a dozen or more students who have gone on to research careers at some pretty prestigious universities as a result of their internship at McLaughlin."
