Since 2006, Innovate ND has served over 450 entrepreneurs, startups, and early-stage ventures by providing a comprehensive educational program and coaching through entrepreneurial centers to help entrepreneurs build new ventures.

North Dakota has long sought to position itself as a center for unmanned-aviation activity, seeing the nascent industry as a potential source of new jobs.

Roughly 1,500 fires burn above western North Dakota because of the deliberate burning of natural gas by companies rushing to drill for oil without having sufficient pipelines to transport their production.

The program is designed to grow technology based entrepreneurship in North Dakota by providing grants to entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial centers in four main areas: access to capital, marketing assistance, entrepreneur infrastructure and entrepreneurial talent.

Out of the 18 schools in his district, only Roosevelt Elementary and Longfellow Elementary had high enough test scores to meet what’s called the Adequate Yearly Progress report, or AYP.

Now Williston is not only on President Obama’s radar but is under the microscope of the nation in its almost unique place at the heart of the fierce debate about the gas and oil drilling process known as fracking.

The next move is to build an infrastructure by increasing interest in the industry on the local level.

Each state already has a shortage of 100 or so primary care doctors.
