Montana Education Excellence

The lab that allows students and researchers from all over the world and across disciplines to conduct research in extreme cold is described as one of 15 "mind-blowing college labs" in the country.

Montana Tech was recognized as one of the top public universities in its category: "Best Regional Universities-West Region" for institutions that provide "a full range of undergraduate and master’s programs."

“These findings are encouraging,” said Juneau. “They suggest more Montana students are graduating from high school with the academic skills they will need to succeed in college and workforce training programs.”

The Montana Digital Academy http://www.montanadigitalacademy.org/ will change how some area students take their classes, as the future of some classes has now gone online.

Montana ends up near the bottom of too many economic and social science rankings. We here in southwest Montana, however, have shown our ability to prosper. And that’s true in no small part thanks to the success of MSU research.

The carpentry program will accept 20 students for an Associate of Applied Science degree program. The welding technology program will accept 20 students for a similar degree program.

We’d like to think that if the trustees had realized the outrage engendered by the announcement, they’d have done some math of their own and calculated that those sort of numbers, when stacked against public perception and in these economic times, just don’t add up.
