The Missoula Chamber of Commerce is hosting Mr. Hannaher’s meeting with business people on Tuesday, November 15th from 4:00 to 5:30 PM at the First Interstate Bank downtown.

This is a homerun for Billings.

For over thirty-five years, we have worked hard to serve the economic and community development needs of those who live and work in this special part of Montana.

Support for a daily flight linking Helena with Billings is strong, a community survey shows, and local officials are working on a plan to convince Gulfstream International Airlines http://www.gulfstreamair.com to add air service.

"We are excited to expand the Montana WBC services to other areas of the state, as we continue our efforts to provide business assistance resources to Montana’s women entrepreneurs," said Montana WBC Director, Amanda Schultz.

The program will be introduced to the membership during the November luncheon meeting on Wednesday, November 9 at the Red Lion Hotel.

Local companies and organizations have raised almost all the $688,000 needed to cover the local share of a $955,000 federal grant to establish a direct flight from New York City to Bozeman.

Just which cities Bozeman competes with was a matter up for discussion.

"This is a tremendous opportunity to see first-hand economic development, research and energy development in one of the fastest growing economies in the world," Governor Schweitzer said. "Brazil is an emerging leader in wind and other renewable energy development. Policymakers need to learn from and adapt the best ideas, regardless of where they originate."
