The panel will discuss recent and upcoming commercial air service expansions in the Flathead Valley routes, which will enlarge upon commercial routes to Los Angeles, Chicago, and Portland previously secured.

Since 1904, the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce and Convention and Visitors Bureau has been a leading voice in strengthening our community and the business climate, with the goal of making Kalispell and the Flathead Valley an ideal location to live and work.

"We’re happy that our economy is improving, and that’s created visitation from our neighbors in some of the historically strong states like Washington and Oregon and California and Texas being strong participants for all that," Untereiner said.

In 2004, the "drive champion" earned a trip for two to a Green Bay Packers’ game. This year’s grand prize is a $2500 travel gift certificate.

"As Kalispell continues to expand, a strong transportation plan is critical to healthy growth. The goal of this panel is to help educate and empower Kalispell residents so that they may advocate for an infrastructure that supports a positive future for our community," said Kalispell Chamber President Joe Unterreiner.

"By operating as a network, we are better able to spread the word about each other’s businesses and create a more consistent, manageable flow, both in slow and busy seasons."

Legislative survey evaluates local opinion on taxes, education and infrastructure
