Idaho is importing high-tech workers – too slowly – despite record unemployment.

Convergys Corporation, one of the largest human relations firms in the United States, with 85 call centers in North America, announced Thursday that it will hire more than 200 full- and part-time workers at its call center in Pocatello

“I think Boise is sheltered,” he said, noting its conservative nature. “It’s divided into two sets: young people involved in the downtown nightlife and married couples.”

Pooling talent resources will become increasingly important in the coming years.
