National program to help train next wave of skilled workers

Response to the session was so strong, Mr. Israelson, has offered to present a second series on Angel Term Sheets, to be scheduled for late fall.

Westminster visiting professor Mike Glauser, who has started several companies and worked as a business consultant, will direct the institute, which will focus on entrepreneurship in three areas: the development of new businesses, the creation of new products and services for existing companies; and the creation of enterprises aimed at addressing community needs.

Huntsman noted how Utah must keep its various infrastructures — from technological and educational to livability and quality-of-life — in place or improving "to take us to the next level."

Grants can be used to cover up to 25 percent of a project’s cost and can be combined with the guaranteed loan program to further lower the cost of a variety of energy projects.

Culp’s road to victory began Feb. 8, when executives from Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr.’s administration and the private sector announced that a funding competition for entrepreneurs would be part of the summit.
