Jake Jabs, president and CEO of American Furniture Warehouse, announced on Friday that he will give $25 million to MSU’s college of business.

It’s a nice project for heavy equipment operation students at the COT as well, Frost said. The school, located just a few blocks to the south, has been involved with the equestrian park since its inception.

"It’s a perfect place to train," he said. "It’s a real-life, real-job situation."

As the economy continues its march toward recovery, area employers are looking for ways to connect with quality employees.

"I really appreciate the companies coming here and taking the time out of their day to meet with MSU students," said Tanner Miller, a senior majoring in civil engineering.

The Office of Career Services at The University of Montana would like to bring to your attention a very important research project that provides our office with a valuable resource to better serve internship seekers, graduating students, and talent managers.

This event provides students with a unique opportunity to practice professional etiquette and networking, as well as providing business professionals a chance to meet potential future interns & employees (full & part-time). Employers continue to comment that our career development programs are their best recruiting tools.

Community colleges already take steps to address the workforce needs of local employers, but their efforts often are hampered by a lack of detailed, up-to-date information about occupations and skills in demand.

Nick Ferrington is proof that internships help create strong resumes, career direction, and even
once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

"We don’t have the trained potential employee or the trained serviceman that we require," he said. "It’s been a nightmare. We need help. We can’t service what we got."
