Flathead Valley Community College is closed today, February 6, due to extreme weather conditions. Both the Kalispell and Lincoln County campuses are closed today.

Flathead Valley Community College’s Continuing Education Center will host a series of professional development classes this spring for people wishing to improve their sales, negotiation, presentation, talent recruitment and employee engagement skills.

As part of its 50th anniversary, the college has planned a year filled with events, as well as a commemorative publication.

The award honors a graduate of FVCC for his or her career achievements and/or contributions and service to the community.

The program promotes lifelong learning and allows seniors to learn new information, develop and enhance skills, connect with other seniors and stay active during the winter months.

All lectures are free and open to the public and will be held in the large community room inside the Arts and Technology building on campus.

The students of The Culinary Institute of Montana at Flathead Valley Community College will present several Chef’s Table events this spring in the FVCC culinary kitchen.

High school students from across Northwest Montana will convene in Kalispell February 6-7 for the biennial Women’s Choral Festival.

The 50th anniversary celebration kicks off February 2 with a presentation by boxer, entrepreneur and international speaker Garret Garrels, who will discuss how ordinary people can change lives by taking action on their extraordinary ideas.
