Developing a more Entrepreneurial Montana

Despite ongoing efforts to stimulate startup activity around Wisconsin and in Milwaukee, local rankings remain dismal, the latest list from the entrepreneurial research and educated-focused Kauffman Foundation shows.

"It’s a nontraditional program but it is going to become traditional."

"As Montana’s economy continues to outpace the nation, it is the entrepreneurial spirit that provides much of our state’s success," Bullock said. "These entrepreneurs have a good idea and the courage to take the risk to make it a reality. I’m pleased that Montana continues to lead the nation in helping these innovators succeed."

Our discussion will begin with a brief recap and progress update from our prior event, followed by breakout sessions to further plumb and develop your previous input. A more detailed agenda will be forthcoming soon.

"And whether or not they are at the top or they are the owner of a business or they are within a business, they can really I think bring change and a lot of creativity and innovation into those positions."

This year’s winners and entrants are poised to take their place in driving Missoula and Montana’s economy and start-up culture forward.

Economies increasingly are reliant on smaller businesses that don’t work in the same way that large businesses do, and these economies need to change and come up with ways to foster an entrepreneurial ecosystem
