Early Stage Montana Welcomes Diane Smith and Susan Carstensen to Board of Directors – Statewide Startup Competition Showcase Finals – 11/7 – Missoula

Announcing two new board members to the ESMT Board of Directors. Joining the board are Diane Smith of Columbia Falls, MT and Susan Carstensen of Bozeman, MT.

Both are experienced business executives and leaders in the state and nationally. They are also sought-after mentors for both individuals and organizations.

Smith, a tech entrepreneur, lawyer, author, and investor with extensive background in start-ups and technology states, “We need an organization like this to lead the charge; clearing away the obstacles that will lead to more businesses getting started and growing more quickly in cities and towns across Montana. I’m excited for the opportunity to help contribute to job creation and economic diversification.”

Carstensen served as the COO, CFO, and senior vice president of customer experience at RightNow Technologies, and CFO of Powerhouse Technologies. She’s been a mentor for the ESMT HyperAccelerator and feels strongly about the mission, “Expanding these programs to reach more entrepreneurs across the state will lead to more quality jobs getting created in our communities, and more opportunities for the younger generation of Montanans to build their futures.”
