This month, Katie Biggs, Marketing and Resource Development Manager of NeighborWorks Montana and

Sherrie Arey, Executive Director of NeighborWorks Great Falls, have had the opportunity to meet with our Montana delegates!

Huge thanks to Senator Steve Daines and Senator Jon Tester for providing phenomenal conversations about how we can provide housing Montanans can afford. And thank you to the staff from Representative Matt Rosendale‘s office for meeting with us about the work we are doing in the state!

Have you registered for the 2021 Housing Partnership Virtual Conference yet? The virtual conference will be held May 18-19. You won’t want to miss this year’s conference, so visit mthousingpartnership.org/2021-conference to register. Be sure to register prior to April 9th to be guaranteed to receive special conference swag in the mail.

The conference is offering two days packed full of great content, with three plenary sessions and over 20 breakout sessions to choose from. Our virtual platform comes with the benefit of not having to miss a single session! Recordings of all sessions will be available through both the Whova web-based app (for 3 months) and mobile app (for 6 months).

About the Plenary Sessions:

  • Our opening plenary session will bring together experts in the field of rural housing from across the country for a panel conversation about the different issues and solutions to rural housing from REDI to Native Homeownership and how COVID has affected or changed the way they do their work. We will also hear from Montana’s elected officials during this time!

  • The plenary on Wednesday morning will feature Sarah Elkins of Elkins Consulting. Sarah will guide us to uncovering the right personal stories for the right audiences so executives, leaders, public speakers, and job seekers can clearly and effectively demonstrate their character, values, and vision.

  • Our final plenary will examine the effects COVID has had on housing across Montana. Hear from staff at Montana Housing and partners statewide who have been working on housing assistance as part of the COVID response. Clients will share their experience with receiving COVID Emergency Housing Rental Assistance, and we will look at where we go from here.

The conference is $150 for individual registration, or new this year, you can purchase an organization ticket to cover up to 10 in your organization (don’t forget your Board members). Visit mthousingpartnership.org/2021-conference for full details and to register.

Our annual conference is only possible because of the ROCKSTAR support we get from generous sponsors. We are especially gifted by them because like us, they value what it means for Montanans to have a home they can comfortably afford and feel safe in. A huge THANK YOU to our 2021 sponsors! And a special shout out to Wells Fargo, for being our Platinum Sponsor for the third year in a row!
