Idaho STEM Summer Camps Scholars, CyberCore and Clean Energy registration opens April 3

Idaho National Laboratory is hosting STEM Scholars, CyberCore and Clean Energy summer camp programs. These three programs are free, and learning materials are provided.

Registration will open April 3 at 9 a.m. here. For additional camp details, such as dates and times, click here.

The first summer camp is STEM Scholars, which includes four-day sessions that run during June and July for students entering grades one through eight. Using a place-based learning approach, students focus on age-appropriate scientific research questions and real-world problem solving. This year’s theme is “Computer Science.”

The second camp is CyberCore, which includes four-day sessions that run during June and July for students entering grades nine through 12. Using a hands-on approach, students interested in computer programming, networking and cybersecurity gain access to industry mentors through demonstrations and lectures, and experience real-world exposure through facilities tours.

The third camp is Clean Energy, which includes a four-day session in June for students entering grades nine through 12. Using a hands-on approach, students learn how renewable energy resources play a key role in our clean energy future. They will work with experts in various fields, including bioenergy, hydropower and advanced battery systems.
