Montana – To Make a Better Place – For This and Future Generations

To Make a Better Place

Friends  —

Below is the cover for the “book” developed by Dorothy Bradley over the last 18 months, featuring the writing of 23 contributors along with Dorothy.  The book covers the history of the environmental and natural resources revolution that took place in Montana in the 1960s and 1970s.  It is important Montana history as recounted by those who helped build it.

My contribution to the book is one of the opening chapters entitled: “MONTANA’S NEED FOR CHANGE: AN HISTORICAL CONTEXT FOR ‘TO MAKE A BETTER PLACE.’ ”

“To Make a Better Place” will be fully published in a dedicated volume of the Public Land and Resources Law Review and will be available in print soon.  The UM Law School Law Review is making physical copies available for $30.

The list of contributors is found below the cover photo.  The chapters they write cover the breadth and depth of the history made in that amazing period known as Montana’s Second Progressive Era.

(Please let me know via  email at Evan Barrett <[email protected]> if you’d like to add this to your Montana History Collection @ $30 each.  They will be sent directly to your home or office.)

This cover is from a painting by Monte Dolack of a restored segment of Silver Bow Creek west of Butte, part of Monte’s amazing “Altered State” series that you can peruse at  https://www.dolack.com/collections/altered-state .
