DEQ’s public survey on the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Formula Program will close on Thursday, June 30. We are pleased that hundreds of Montanans have provided input and sent us comments so far. Thank you to those who have taken the time, we appreciate the input.

If you or someone you know – whether family, friends, or coworkers – haven’t filled out survey, please click on the link below or forward this e-mail before June 30. Responses received before the end of June will be considered as we draft the vision and goals for Montana’s Electric Vehicle Deployment Plan. Once the plan is approved, we’ll announce how the State will move forward with funding electric vehicle fast-charging locations across Montana.

The NEVI Program funding comes from the bipartisan infrastructure law signed into law late last year to support a national electric vehicle charging network. The plan will lay out the State’s vision and goals for creating a statewide network of fast charging stations for electric vehicles. The State must submit the plan to the Federal Highway Administration no later than August 1, 2022. To learn more about the NEVI Formula Program, visit DEQ’s Alternative Fuels & Transportation webpage.
