Having raised both of our children in bilingual schools – French and English, all of us have nothing but praise and high recommendation for the practice. Our kids have excelled and, I think, much better able to succeed in the world because of their ability to not only speak in another language but think in it as well. There is no question, in my mind, that a bilingual person is going to be much better at just about everything thrown at them in life than one who only speaks one language. And, if California is any indication of the future, which is usually is, Spanish is going to become much more mainstream in the future in all of the U.S. Give the kids a chance to have the best education possible by learning a second language.
