Our Energy-to-Food Future

Energy to food

As climate change permeates every aspect of our food chain, including our oceans, it is imperative to move to alternative sources of nutrition to meet the needs of our populations. An example is the use of algae in omega-3 supplements instead of fish or krill oil because it prevents overfishing and goes directly to a source of nutrition (the fish get their omega-3s through what they eat). !)

I recently spoke with Corinna Bellizzi, Head of Marketing and Sales at Biotech Firm VAXA, About their innovative scientific approach to sustainable and eco-friendly production of microalgae, a global food-tech company and their recent product line launch in this vein – Orlo Nutrition.
