About 3/4 of eligible homeowners apply for Montana property tax rebates

The Montana Department of Revenue said it had received 226,600 rebate applications. It previously estimated 292,200 households were eligible.

Companies learned this marketing plan long ago. Make it more difficult for customers to redeem gift certificates or returns or whatever and hope they lose them. But they still get the PR bump for being good. Not the way to govern.
