Utah company sponsors programming contest

Berkeley Data Systems has come up with a fresh way to look for the best in local software engineering talent – an Internet-based programming contest.

The winner of the Utah company’s free-to-enter "Deathmatch" competition will get a check for $10,000, says Berkeley Data spokesman Devin Knighton.

The competition, running through Nov. 4, will initially take place on the Web site http://www.mozy.com/contest. Finalists will compete for $10,000 in the company’s American Fork offices.
