Ah, the lazy days of summer… fun in the sun, picnics at the park, backyard barbecues, trips to the lake, and leisurely walks around your neighborhood. Right? Well, sort of. Sometimes our workloads don’t always shift along with the temperatures, leaving us little time to enjoy the summer sun. So, if you find yourself gazing out your office window thinking summer is passing you by, it might be time to re-prioritize your schedule.

Now, we’re not suggesting you quit work and become a beach bum, but if you incorporate some small changes into your work routine, you just might find you are more productive (and happier). Start with taking some time out for lunch and head outside to enjoy the warmth of the day. Consider holding business meetings in pleasant locations such as an outdoor café or park. Get up early to watch the sun rise. Whatever summer activities you enjoy, try to find time to squeeze them into your day. By focusing on a healthy work-life balance, you will feel refreshed and ready take on anything.
