Montana State University Outreach and Engagement Council awards seven seed grants

A Montana State University council recently awarded seed grants to seven projects that promote outreach and engagement between the university and the community through pilot projects, research, service learning and education. The grants are for projects that build the STEM workforce, support the caregivers of loved ones with Alzheimer’s disease, increase the retention rate of American Indian college students and other projects that address community needs and foster mutually beneficial partnerships.

This is the fourth round of funding by MSU’s Outreach and Engagement Council http://www.montana.edu/outreachengagementcouncil/ since the council began its seed grant program in 2015. The program is designed to bring MSU faculty, staff and students together with local and regional partners to address the needs of Montana’s communities.
