Location Quotient Tool Provides Industry Clusters Information
May 17, 2005/
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) produced a new tool, the “Location Quotient Calculator.” A location quotient identifies industry clusters by comparing whether a given industry represents a larger or smaller proportion of the local economy than the national or state average.
Access the location quotient calculator on the BLS website at: http://data.bls.gov/LOCATION_QUOTIENT/servlet/lqc.ControllerServlet.
