The Tarkio Retreat – A Special 1-day Conference
Forging New Partnerships in Media & Conservation
This conference, presented by “Nature” Thirteen/WNET in partnership with the International Wildlife Film Festival will foster forward and innovative thinking on ways for media to impact conservation efforts both local and global. It will bring together key individuals from many sectors. These include the film and television industry, foundations, non-governmental organizations, universities, corporations and policy centers. The outcome will be new partnerships and media opportunities for all of these sectors to reach a wider audience in more powerful ways.
The retreat will include short, focused presentations from representatives of each sector followed by in-depth, working sessions that explore case studies and prototypes of the power of film and media to influence thinking and create positive action. These working groups will address the unexplored ways that technological developments in media are making innovative new media solutions possible.
