Canada to ban foreigners from purchasing homes for 2 years as real estate market soars
April 7, 2022/

As prices for homes in Canada surge, the country is reportedly undertaking several efforts to ease the pain of inflation for its citizens. One effort: Ban most foreigners from buying homes.
Bloomberg reports a source familiar with the proposed ban told the publication the “foreign buyer ban” will keep most foreigners from purchasing homes for two years.
The source also says Canada will provide billions of dollars to encourage real estate construction in an apparent attempt to lull an ever more costly real estate market.
