Yellowstone buses return to their roots – Yellowstone Historic Center Museum

With its close proximity to Yellowstone National Park, West Yellowstone has acquired small pieces of history throughout its time as a bustling western town.

These pieces of history are strung together like charms on a bracelet. Some even jingle, while others creak or are, perhaps too delicate to touch.

Walking through the displays at the Yellowstone Historic Center Museum or hearing about how the streets used to be dirt and gravel from a longtime local makes that concept much more real.

Having a line of Yellowstone buses parked in town for the day provides another realistic illustration of times past.
