Working Remotely To Sustain Rural Communities
February 21, 2019 /
Grow Remote is helping remote workers in further-flung populations to be able to find and build support networks for one another, often focusing around Digital Hubs that have founded in recent years as part of an initiative to connect.
“Grow Remote had very many catalysts, but the group that founded it are probably, first and foremost, community developers. We are living in our communities, and we want to see them do better.” Tracy Keogh from Grow Remote told me. “Remote work is one of the streams that we are beginning to look at as a way to bring employment and high-quality employment back to the region’s rural areas.”
