University of Montana Selling President’s Residence, a Historic Mansion in Missoula, After 50 Years

The 1920s house, which also hosted many of the institution’s notable visitors, is asking nearly $3 million

A century-old mansion in Missoula, Montana, is ready to graduate from its latest chapter.

The University of Montana is selling the 6,869-square-foot home, which has served as the official residence for its presidents since 1974. The property was listed for $2.995 million earlier this month.

Built in 1928, the six-bedroom, six-bathroom home has been updated through the years, said Dawn Maddux of Engel & Völkers Western Frontier, the listing agent.
