University of Montana Honors Four Alumni for Leadership and Impact in Last Decade

Four University of Montana alumni received the 2026 Grizzly of the Last Decade award for leadership and impact.

The University of Montana Alumni Association honored Alexa Coyle, Bailey Durnell, William Lapointe, and Genevieve Lind for their professional achievements that demonstrate purpose and connection to UM. This recognition underscores a structural emphasis on alumni who leverage their education into meaningful careers across diverse sectors.

The award spotlights a range of accomplishments: Lapointe’s company employs over 125 people and manages more than $200 million in annual media spend, while Lind leads a multibillion-dollar research and development portfolio involving 11 agencies. The honorees, spanning graduation years from 2006 to 2021, represent business, public service, entrepreneurship, innovation, and science. The Alumni Association noted these graduates “are making a mark” nationally and locally, highlighting leadership and ongoing ties to UM.
