Transportation the theme of Montana Folk Festival – July 13/15, Butte, Montana

The Montana Folk Festival http://www.montanafolkfestival.com has fixed on the theme for the popular Montana Folklife Area and Family Area.

"Each year we focus on a theme that highlights an important aspect of Montana’s heritage. For 2012, the theme is "Traveling Through and beyond the Western Crossroads: Transportation in Montana and the Mountain West," said George Everett, Festival Director.

This Montana theme will guide the activities, displays and demonstrations of the popular Family Area, Folklife Area and Art markets and could include demonstrations and displays of a variety of traditional skills and techniques by a variety of Montanans.
