Especially when Montana voters unequivocally asked for this.
Habitat Montana funds conservation easements that keep family ranches intact, improves public access, preserves quality wildlife habitat, and adds hunting opportunities – all in a voluntary way that honors and protects property rights. It also allows the state to purchase property and create new wildlife management areas; both the recently approved Big Snowy Mountains WMA and the addition to the Mt. Haggin WMA were purchased using Habitat Montana dollars.
