Swatch’s quandary: job openings with few people to fill them

Nick Hayek, CEO of the Swatch Group, faces the kind of problems most companies would love to have.

Swatch, the world’s largest watchmaker, wants to add as many as 2,000 employees this year, but it is struggling to find enough qualified people.

The company is also rushing to add factory capacity so it can make enough watches to meet demand.
