Solar Roadways – Army’s xTech Clean Tech Competition

 | Our chosen time happened to fall when we would be in Oregon for our son’s wedding, so we were concerned about having connectivity issues at our hotel. Fortunately, all went well and we were recently chosen as one of the Part 2 Finalists, which entitles us to apply for both funding and the opportunity to install a pilot project at an Army Base. We could have applied for a Phase 1 award of up to $250,000, but since our tech is quite advanced, we elected to request a Direct to Phase II, which allows us to go for up to $1.7 million (if you check their website, it says $1.8 million but we were told it’s actually $1.7).
