Manufacturing Success Story: Montana Truck Company Strengthens In-house Capabililties Through Training Partnership
In the small town of Anaconda, Montana, Intercontinental Truck Body (ITB) manufactures high quality commercial transportation equipment for clients across the country and beyond. Founded in the mid-1970s, ITB started the business building truck bodies to haul grain. This led to the development of its patented aluminum panel design, which proved to be rugged, easy to use, and adaptable to a wide range of industrial and military applications. ITB’s operations have grown to more than 30 employees, who engineer and manufacture products such as tow vehicles, flatbeds, dump bodies, aircraft loading ramps, platforms, and shelters.
To maintain an environment that produces high quality and innovative products, ITB’s company objectives include increasing productivity and improving employee engagement throughout its operations. To meet these goals, ITB was interested in expanding and enhancing the training systems available to employees. ITB Leadership partnered with the Montana Manufacturing Extension Center to map out a plan to develop and implement new training programs and workforce tools.
