‘Secret ski town’: National Geographic features Discovery Ski Area in Montana

It seems folks around the country are realizing that not only is the cold smoke great at Discovery Ski Area http://www.skidiscovery.com/ , the town of Philipsburg is a great place to call home.

Philipsburg is featured this week in a write-up about the "Best Secret Ski Towns of North America" in National Geographic Magazine. One other Montana town, Cooke City, made the list.

"Eighteen miles up the Pintler Scenic Highway is one of the best under-the-radar ski areas in the Northern Rockies — Discovery, or Disco to the locals," reads the article. "The only thing missing — in town, the surrounding mountains, or the wide ranching valleys sprawling out below — are crowds.
