Philipsburg, Granite County, Montana officials consider resort tax

A southwest Montana community is looking to become the next spot in the state with a resort tax.

The Granite County Commission took up the topic on Tuesday as they look for ways to find funding for services in the growing Philipsburg area.

Mayor Daniel Reddish also participated in the conversation.

The boundaries of a potential tax district have yet to be set, but it will likely encompass the Philipsburg School District.
