Philanthropy at work in Glacier National Park. The Glacier National Park Fund.

Dear Friend of Glacier Park,

Great news! Because you have been so supportive of The Glacier Fund, we wanted our family of donors to be the first to hear. Thanks to wonderful people like you, The Glacier Fund has provided more than $1.3 million to Glacier National Park and has grown to the point where we have become our own independent foundation called the Glacier National Park Fund http://www.glacierfund.org .

David Rockefeller had a vision a number of years ago to create and nurture national park funds across the country. Thus, he worked through the National Park Foundation to seed organization such as the Glacier Fund with an understanding that they would grow to become affiliated but stand-alone 501 (c) (3) corporations when possible. We are now ready for that move. In July, the Glacier Fund became the Glacier National Park Fund.

We changed our name because it better reflects our mission of preserving and protecting Glacier National Park, the crown of the continent. From extensive support of trails, to research and management of wildlife and plants, to educational programs and preservation of the red buses and historical records, artifacts and buildings, the Glacier National Park Fund will continue the tradition of helping to preserve and protect a very special treasure.

Thank you for your support. We look forward to continuing to work with you and others so that future generations may appreciate this extraordinary place. As the new executive director, I invite you to come by our office and visit Glacier Park to see firsthand the good work you are helping to accomplish.

Sincerely,

Jane Ratzlaff
