Paul Allen, others back new-engine firm. Infinia Corp. of Kennewick gets $9.5 million in venture funding

Big-named investors Vinod Khosla, Bill Gross and Paul Allen are among the backers of a tiny Kennewick company that is creating a new type of engine that uses pressure differences created by changes in temperature to create electricity and hot water.
