A Simms High School students’ project to build a better water filtration system has earned top honors in Montana in a Samsung contest.

That means a $20,000 prize for new classroom technology.

Simms math and science teacher Jordan Hollern said the next step is making a three-minute video about the project. The project will be weighed against other state winners for bigger national prizes, up to $100,000 in prizes.
