“We are really excited to offer these summer day camps,” said Dusty Rixford, Education Coordinator for the American Prairie Field School. “These camps are a fantastic way for children to connect with nature, learn about the wonders of water ecology, and have a lot of fun while doing it.”
During the camp, participants will have the chance to observe and interact with various aquatic organisms, such as fish, insects, and amphibians. They will also explore the different types of plants that thrive in water ecosystems, discovering their vital role in sustaining these habitats. Through hands-on experiments and activities, campers will gain a deeper appreciation for the delicate balance of life within aquatic environments.
