Senator Burns’ 22nd Annual Women’s Conference will be held in Missoula, Montana, at the University of Montana’s University Center on Monday, August 8, 2005. The Conference is a full-day event, and on-site registration will begin at 7:30 a.m.

This cosponsored event will feature a keynote address by Liz Murray. The child of drug users and homeless by the age of 15, Liz Murray received her high school degree in two years, and earned a scholarship to Harvard that changed her life forever. Author of the inspirational memoir Breaking Nights, her story was captured in Lifetime’s Emmy-nominated movie entitled From Homeless to Harvard. She was also one of the first recipients of Oprah Winfrey’s “Chutzpah Award.”

Along with Liz Murray, this year’s Conference will feature a variety of well-known speakers who will address all aspects of women’s lives, from managing finances to making an impact. Due to the generous support of the Conference cosponsors, registration for this year’s event will remain at $20.00. For those who would like to book a table for eight participants, registration is $150.00 for the group.
