Montana State University business students embark on unique summer internships

Nearly 70% of Jabs students complete at least one internship before graduating, Blake said, which is almost double the national average.

From Chicago to North Carolina to Athens, Greece, Montana State University students in the Jake Jabs College of Business and Entrepreneurship are keeping the college’s internship rate high — and having fun while doing it.

Housed in the business college, the Bracken Center helps Bobcats find internship opportunities, craft professional resumes and cover letters and prepare for interviews. More than 800 students seek support from the Bracken Center each year, said Director Toby Blake, which contributes to the high rate of internships at MSU. The center also provides professional networking opportunities. Helping students grow their network and connections is a core strength of the Bracken Center, he added.
