Montana Business Assistance Connection – Remote Worker Skill Training with introduction and education that makes the client competent and available for current job openings.

MBAC in collaboration with MSU-Extension, Job Service, Career Training Institute and
consultant Trepademics, purchase 20 training slots for regional residents to participate with
Teleworks USA in training and interviews to be remote workers.


Clients from Vocational Rehab, Job Service, CTI and Remote Online Initiative (ROI) took a 5
day training course that teaches the clients on the technical and cultural requirements needed
to be a successful remote worker. At the end of the intense course, the students produced a
resume, practice interview skills and participated in real world interviews with firms that have
current remote worker positions open.


At the end of the week, students understand the requirements of basic computer skills needed
to land and perform technical inbound business support including collaboration platforms like
SLACK, Twilio and Teams.


Twenty clients started within the two training tranches with 16 completing the training. At this
time 7 clients have been offered work from home positions. Five have completed additional
company specific training and are at work.
