Missoula GIS Coffee Talk, 3/25, Missoula

Hello Missoula GIS Coffeetalkers,

The next Missoula area GIS coffeetalk is scheduled for next Friday, March 25, 2005 from 3 to 5 PM at the Missoula Fire Sciences Lab. The Fire Sciences Lab is located at 5775 West Highway 10, Missoula, MT 59807. It is located west of the Missoula airport on the left side of the road.

See this site for more details:

http://www.firelab.org

We will be having a presentation by Matt Rollins, landscape fire ecologist, on the LANDFIRE project with a focus on the GIS data this project is creating and its applicability to a wide variety of projects and processes. The folks actively involved in GIS at the lab will be invited to participate and contribute to our discussion.

For more information on this project see:

http://www.landfire.gov

Additionally, for those of you interested in a tour of the Missoula Fire Sciences Lab there will be someone available to conduct this tour starting at 2:00PM so show up early if you want to participate.

Note: We have changed the time of this event and there has been mention of having a “no host” social activity at a local Missoula eatery/pub afterwards for some additional “networking” opportunities. We will cover in more details next Friday.

Hope to see you all there next Friday and have a great weekend!

Warm regards,

Bryant
