Learn more about NorthWestern Energy’s Carbon Offset Plan RFP

The MDT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program encourages and supports the participation of companies owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in transportation contracts.

NorthWestern Energy is soliciting proposals for the cost-effective carbon offset projects pursuant to the Montana Public Service Commission (MPSC) Order No. 6943a that authorized construction of the Dave Gates Generating Station. This Request for Projects (RFP) is consistent with NWE’s Second Revised Carbon Offset Plan (Plan) approved by the MPSC on August 12, 2013. A copy of the Plan is included as Appendix 1.0 and can be downloaded here. Projects must be considered energy conservation projects that either reduce carbon emissions or promote the incremental absorption of carbon from the atmosphere.
